In recognition of Lord Morris’ considerable contribution and support for an Independent Public Inquiry in to Gulf War Illnesses, we acknowledge his efforts by the title of Architect of the Independent Public Inquiry.

PROFESSION
Manchester schoolteacher (English and History) and university extension lecturer in social history 1954-56;
Industrial relations officer, Electricity Supply Industry 1956-64
Member of Parliament for Manchester, Wythenshawe for 33 years
Architect as a Private Member of the landmark Chronically Sick & Disabled Persons Act 1970.
In 1974 he became the world's first Minister for, Disabled People, enacting further wide-ranging legislation, to improve the status and wellbeing of disabled persons
Honorary Parliamentary Adviser to The Royal British Legion
Vice-President of the War Widows Association
He is the only British citizen to have been awarded both the Order of Australia and the Queen’s Service Order of New Zealand
